Michigan Fashion Design Schools

Are you interested in studying fashion design in Michigan? There are six schools that offer fashion design programs, including five Bachelor’s degree programs and two Master’s degree programs. The average cost of tuition is $9,547, with an average scholarship award of $4,308. With a strong application, you have a good chance of getting into the school of your choice, as the average acceptance rate is 77%.

You might choose to get an Associate’s degree in fashion design, which includes 60 credits and takes two years to complete. A Bachelor’s degree in fashion design is the most popular choice. This option takes most students four to five years of full-time study, encompassing 120 to 140 credits. Courses you may have to take at this level include Apparel Design Principles, Textile Science, and Design Theories.

Finally, you may decide to continue your schooling by pursuing a Master’s degree in fashion design. If you go full-time, you may be able to complete your program in two years. If you go part-time, you may need to attend for three to four years.
