If you want to complete a fashion degree in Nevada, there are two schools you can attend. Both schools offer Bachelor’s degrees in various fashion specialties.

Since Nevada has such an eclectic range of fashion styles, you may want to be part of Las Vegas Fashion Week. Gaining this experience as a student can prepare you to be a big player in the dynamic world of Las Vegas fashion.

After getting a thorough education in fashion, it’s time to start your career. You may end up working in a variety of settings, including retailers, fashion design companies, and marketing firms. In Nevada, some of the most significant employers are Zappos Inc., Halston, and Topshop. The unemployment rate in Nevada is 8.8%, and it has been on the decline since July 2013 (BLS, 2013).

Salaries in the fashion world vary widely, since experience is an important part of the field. As you get more and more experienced, you may be able to get a higher salary. Designers in Nevada earn an average salary of $41,050 per year and merchandise displayers earn an average salary of $30,150 per year (BLS, 2012).
